Once you select SureSmile, our dentists will take digital x-rays of your teeth and jaw and impressions that'll be used to make your aligners. After your aligners are custom-made, a staff member will call you to schedule a fitting. You can expect to have appointments every four weeks. In these appointments, we will check on your progress and issue replacement aligners as your teeth and bite adjust. In the event that you lose or damage one of your aligners, simply give us a call, and we can have a new aligner made so that you're able to keep going with your treatment without having to wait for your next appointment. Depending upon the position of your teeth and the amount of correction needed, your prescribed orthodontic treatment may last 6 – 24 months.

Our dentists will need regular appointments to check your progress and make adjustments as needed. It's also very important to keep your teeth and your aligners clean so that you do not develop tooth decay. Flossing, brushing your teeth, and rinsing with mouthwash once you take out the aligners are good habits to start with. You should also clean or rinse the aligners before putting them back into your mouth. Another good tip is to store your aligners in their protective case during meal times so you don't lose them. Once your treatment is finished, it is recommended to wear a retainer to keep your teeth from moving back to their original place.
