How Do SureSmile Aligners Work?

SureSmile is a good choice if your teeth are crowded, crooked, misaligned, or if you have a dental malocclusion (poor bite). Once you select SureSmile, our dentists will take digital x-rays of your teeth and jaw and impressions that'll be used to make your aligners. After your aligners are custom-made, a staff member will call you to schedule a fitting. You can expect to have appointments every four weeks. In these appointments, we will check on your progress and issue replacement aligners as your teeth and bite adjust. In the event that you lose or damage one of your aligners, simply give us a call, and we can have a new aligner made so that you're able to keep going with your treatment without having to wait for your next appointment. Depending upon the position of your teeth and the amount of correction needed, your prescribed orthodontic treatment may last 6 – 24 months.

Our dentists will need regular appointments to check your progress and make adjustments as needed. It's also very important to keep your teeth and your aligners clean so that you do not develop tooth decay. Flossing, brushing your teeth, and rinsing with mouthwash once you take out the aligners are good habits to start with. You should also clean or rinse the aligners before putting them back into your mouth. Another good tip is to store your aligners in their protective case during meal times so you don't lose them. Once your treatment is finished, it is recommended to wear a retainer to keep your teeth from moving back to their original place. You must continue to make yearly dental examinations at Elegant Smiles so we can check up on your bite, alignment, and overall oral health.

I came to Elegant Smiles following a terrible experience at a previous dental office, that left me with an infection, a lot of pain, and needing significant work. Elegant Smiles was recommended by a co-worker who raved about them. I was in quite a bit of pain and the receptionist was kind and worked to get me in immediately. At my first examination Dr. Phan made me feel comfortable and confident in his ability to fix the issue right away. The facility is state of the art. No walking from one x-ray machine and back. You sit in a massage chair and the x-ray machine comes to you. All the work happens, and you don't leave the chair once. Following that exam, I was immediately offered a teeth cleaning. I don't know the Dental Hygienists name, but she was excellent! She utilized a state-of-the-art water powered tool that doesn't hurt and require a lot of the normal tooth scraping with tools. She also made me laugh quite a bit and my teeth felt wonderful when I left.On my recent appointment yesterday the dental assistant Ricky greeted me at my chair warmly and gave me detailed information on all the work being completed that day. I had a large filling and a temp crown placement happening. The numbing was easy, the work was comfortable, and the sanitizing procedures they use in prepping my tooth for the crown made me feel confident. They show you scans of your teeth as they occur, and you never once feel confused as to what is happening in your mouth. My temp fits like a charm and I have no pain or sensitivity at all. Dr. Phan and Ricky worked so well together start to finish. I never thought getting a crown would be so easy. The best decision I made was switching to this office. I will never go anywhere else.

I have been seeing Dr. Huynh for a few years now. she is the best dentist I have seen in my life. I am looking forward to see her for many more years to come. Yesterday there was this gentleman name Ricky, he took care of my teeth at the end of my appointment, he did an amazing job on me. he really took his time to take care of my teeth, I am very happy that I found them. 🙏🙏🙏❤️
