When one or more of your teeth are missing, it's more than just a cosmetic issue — gaps in your teeth can cause your remaining teeth to shift. This may lead to unnecessary tension in your bite, pain when you chew, or even trouble speaking. A dental bridge improves the health and appearance of your mouth by filling in spaces using a false tooth supported by either crowns, dental implants, or a combination of both. At Elegant Smiles in Las Vegas, NV, our dental experts offer dental bridges with top-quality materials that will help to restore your smile. If you have one or more teeth missing from your smile, schedule a consultative appointment with us to learn about your treatment options with a custom bridge.

People with missing teeth don't merely have an appearance problem — gaps in your smile may lead to the shifting of teeth, creating problems with your bite (underbite, overbite, crossbite) and atrophy of the gums and jawbone. To place a bridge, the surrounding teeth must be strong enough to hold the restoration, including sufficient jawbone density and gum tissue. Our team will assess your gums and jaw during your consultation to help you select the best type of bridge (cantilever, traditional, Maryland bonded, or resin bonded) and material (ceramic, porcelain, metal, and porcelain fused to metal). After your supporting teeth have been prepared, our dentist will take impressions of your teeth so your bridge can be created. A temporary bridge or restoration can be placed while your custom one is crafted. Once your restoration is ready, your mouth will be numbed with local anesthesia. Other anesthesia or sedation options may be used if you have anxiety or trouble with a gag reflex so you will be calm during the placement. Your dental bridge will either be cemented in place or attached to implants, depending on the support you and our team chose at your consultation. After your bridge is in place, you should notice an improvement in your teeth's function and appearance. Our doctors will show you how to care for your restoration, including the ways to keep it clean and if you need to avoid any foods. It's important to frequently clean your bridge and mouth since cavities can develop under the restoration. With proper care, your bridge can last for many years.

The best dentist I’ve ever been to. I had a 3-4 year gap from my last dentist so I needed some fillings tbh. They walked me through everything so smoothly, showing me each tooth and areas of concern and laid out game plan to move forward. Had my first fillings done here this week and they were so much more precise than any other dentist I’ve gone too, and they made sure that I didn’t feel any pain whatsoever. I appreciate the doctors and all of their staff is top notch too. Most people are scared to go to the dentist but this office made it so comfortable it eased my nerves about everything. They play a TV during your care and their chairs are part massage chair if you’re into that. Extra bonus

If you ever need dental work done, I highly recommend Elegant Smiles. The staff is amazing. Doctor Phil Pham, Ricky, Susanna and Shante explain every detail and will answer all your questions. Any veterans like myself get a referral from the VA and go there. Thanks for everything.

I only pretend to be a tough guy on deployments — when I'm at the dentist I'm a big baby... Nobody likes going to the dentist, Elegant Smiles knows this. They've done a great job making this place look and feel more like a high-end spa than a dentist office. Seriously, it's the nicest dentist office I've ever been to, the first time I walked in I thought I was in the wrong place... Beautiful atmosphere, modern tech, relaxing music, and friendly people — worlds different than the other little-shops-of-horror the VA has sent me to before. And what's even nicer than the "spa" are the people. The staff I met (Shante, Susanna, and the treatment team Dr. Phan and Ricky), are all super nice, patient, understanding, and answered my million nervous questions. Like many people, I'll never look forward to going to the dentist or people using power drills inside my mouth… But when I can't put it off any longer and it absolutely has to be done, Elegant Smiles is the only place I'm going back to.

Shantae that is in the front office is absolutely amazing. Her customer service is beyond exceptional compared to most dental offices I have been too. Her sense of urgency when dealing with the VA exceeds the standards. Dealing with the VA can be a headache, but she reassured me that she would handle everything for me. The turn around for treatment was quicker than the average. Ricky was my dental assistance also exceeding the standards. I do not believe I have ever had someone as thorough as he is. From the beginning to the end, he reassured me , and simply walked me through everything that he was doing. I highly recommend this dental clinic. Might I add the dentist ONLY see one to two patients with the allotted time.

About Us
How long do dental bridges last?

Dental bridges can last for many years with proper care and maintenance, typically 5 – 15 years or more. The longevity of a dental bridge depends on factors such as oral hygiene practices, dietary habits, the quality of dental materials used, and regular dental check-ups. Over time, dental bridges may require repair or replacement due to normal wear and tear or changes in the surrounding teeth and gums.

How do I care for a dental bridge?

Caring for a dental bridge involves practicing good oral hygiene habits, including brushing twice a day with fluoride toothpaste, flossing daily, and using interdental cleaners or water flossers to clean around the bridge and under the pontic. Regular dental check-ups and professional cleanings are also important to monitor the health of the bridge and surrounding tissues and to address any issues promptly.

Can a dental bridge be replaced?

Dental bridges can be replaced if worn, damaged, or no longer fit properly. Replacement may be necessary due to factors such as decay or damage to the abutment teeth, fracture or deterioration of the bridge material, or changes in the bite or alignment of the teeth. Your dentist can assess the condition of your existing bridge and recommend the most appropriate treatment options for replacement.
